Getting here
You’ll find The Colombo in Colombo Street, between Elgin Street and Stanley Street. You can access the building from any of these streets, and there is also a carpark entrance off Durham Street South.
To get here by bus, take the number 1 (Rangiora/Cashmere), number 28 (Casebrook/Lyttelton) or the number 44 (Shirley/Westmorland) bus. You can catch all of these buses at the central Bus Interchange – be sure to head south towards The Colombo! The number 28 has several routes, so check before boarding. Get off at the Sydenham Shops stop near Stanley Street, which is opposite The Colombo if you’re heading south, or right outside our door if you’re heading north.
Parking
Parking is no problem at The Colombo. We have a big dedicated carpark in Elgin Street. You can also access the carpark from Durham Street South or Stanley Street. There is an entrance directly from the carpark into The Colombo, and also to Dimples, which is in a separate building.
Accessibility
The Colombo has accessible parking, accessible entrances from the carpark and road, and accessible toilets.
Parents’ facilities
There is a large parents’ room at The Colombo with baby changing stations. Breastfeeding is welcome in the parents’ room and public spaces, whichever you prefer.
